Family with Teens
I'd give it a B. Convenient to I-10, and walking distance from Cracker Barrel, the hotel is positioned well for travelers. The lobby was clean, and the staff helpful & pleasant. Traveling as Couple
This building resembled an older hotel with the catwalks and entrances being on the outside. The room was dark and the bathroom door barely shut due to the tight space. Also, we were given a complimentary breakfast due to our room not being ready by the 3:00 p.m. Check-in and were thoroughly disappointed with the food. The breakfast bar wasn't being replinished, so it made what food was available hard and unappetizing. Also, there were was trash sitting out on the counter due to lack of employee maintenance of the breakfast area (not to mention the lack of fresh coffee too). Rooms need renovation. AC leaked into the room, soaked the carpet. Breakfast not always served on time, one day chef was a no-show.

The telephone did not work when we checked in. They brought us another one. The alarm clock could not be set. We expected 2 non smoking rooms but instead we got 1 smoking and 1 handicapped room. The rooms were old and dirty and the buildings they gave us should have been torn down years ago. It is a disgrace to pay over $100 a night for something that bad. ...read more
